Guess What? You’re Going To Comic-Con 2020

Comic-Con 2020 has announced a free virtual replacement for the sadly canceled show. Comic-Con@home will run July 22nd-26th. The annual San Diego event canceled for the first time since its beginning 50 years ago due to COVID-19 concerns. Those who bought badges for this year’s programming will automatically get entrance for next year. The Comic-con 2020 show sold out, though producers have said a limited number will be made available in the fall.

Producers released the following statement about the Comic-con 2020@home show:

“Plans for Comic-Con@Home include an online Exhibit Hall complete with everyone’s favorite exhibitors offering promotions, specials, and limited-edition products unique to the celebration. As well, Comic-Con@Home promises exclusive panels and presentations about comics, gaming, television, film, and a wide variety of topics from publishers, studios, and more. As if that weren’t enough, Comic-Con@Home will also have a Masquerade, gaming, and many other activities in which fans can participate from their own homes.”

No other details are available at the moment. I’m sure the studios will want to remind us of all the movies delayed as a result of COVID-19. There is sure to be a lot of big news. And since everyone can go, as announcements come out, you’ll hear about them right here!
