DC FanDome Breaks Away From Comic-Con

DC Fandome

It looks like yet another studio is breaking away from the Hall H Comic-Con tradition. San Diego Comic-Con will be taking place virtually this year, but it will most likely have notably less material from the DC Universe. That’s because Warner Brothers have announced DC Fandome for August 22nd. The 24-hour event will be free for everyone, so it looks like you’re going to this one too.

From the movie universe, the following will be a part of the show: Aquaman, The Batman, Black Adam, SHAZAM!, the SnyderCut, The Suicide Squad, and WonderWoman 1984. From the televised worlds: Batwoman, Black Lightning, DC Super Hero Girls, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, Doom Patrol, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Lucifer, Pennyworth, Supergirl, Superman & Lois, Teen Titans GO!, Titans, Watchmen, and Young Justice: Outsiders.

It’s unclear as yet just how much each program will be participating in the show. The Show itself will be divided into six different ‘verses’: WatchVerse, YouVerse, KidsVerse, InsiderVerse, FunVerse, and Hall of Heroes…Verse? I’m guessing most traffic will be heading to the WatchVerse and the InsiderVerse, but who knows what may be sprinkled throughout. You’ll want to take a peak at each.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a convention without fan creations. Comic-con and the like are known for the intricate and outlandish cos-play they bring each year. DC Fandome doesn’t want to be the exception and is now taking submissions at create.dcfandome.com. DC and Talenthouse will be providing cash prizes for the winners so give it your best shot.

It looks like it’s going to be a busy summer after all.
