The Timeless Children

“The Timeless Children” – Doctor Who Series Finale Review

Could it be possible the BBC is gearing up to have more than one Doctor at a time? As the Master once said, “A cosmos without the Doctor scarcely bears thinking about.” A cosmos with two at a time, though? “The Timeless Children” introduces endless possibilities.

“Ascension Of The Cybermen” – “Doctor Who” Finale Review Part One

‘Ascension of the Cybermen’ really feels like it isn’t leaving enough room for the final episode to settle everything up. At least, not in a satisfactory way. The question of who Brendon is has too many possibilities. To solve it seems like it will take too much time away from The Doctor and The Master. Unless it’s all intertwined somehow, which really could change everything as the Master has promised. I’m interested in watching what “The Timeless Children” will bring. I’m ready for the too quick wrap-up that has plagued so many Doctor Who finales as well.

“Doctor Who – The Haunting Of Villa Diodati” Review

“Doctor Who” in recent years has tried to tackle horror to mixed results. “The Haunting Of Villa Diodati” gets right down to the creation of horror stories, introducing us to the night Mary Shelley was inspired to create “Frankenstein.” Throw in a classic “Doctor Who” villain that was inspired by Shelley’s creation, and you have […]

Praxeus

‘Praxeus’ Review

‘Praxeus’ is an ok episode, but it could have been better. It’s an episode overpacked with characters and locations that will leave you feeling a bit empty. This late in the season, there are a lot of threads floating without too many answers. Hopefully, the development of the relationship between the Doctor and her companions won’t continue to suffer. Otherwise, it might work better to have the Doctor traveling alone. At least that way, it would leave more space for character development.

Fugitive of the Judoon

Fugitive Of The Judoon

‘Fugitive of the Judoon’ packs a season’s worth of jaw-dropping moments into one of the tightest hours we’ve had in a while. Arcs in the world of the show can be dicey with the payoff not being as exciting as the clues. Hopefully, Chris Chibnall is up to the task. He’s given us a lot to work with so far. It’s sure to satisfy those still longing for the explosive moment to explosive moment of the David Tennant years. It also does what ‘Nikola Tesla’s Night of Terror’ failed to do and trusts that character growth can make an interesting story.

Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror

Nikola Tesla’s Night Of Terror

‘Nikola Tesla’s Night Of Terror’ introduces the Doctor to Tesla and Thomas Edison. One of the hallmarks of ‘Doctor Who,’ besides a base under siege and running down corridors, is meeting historical characters. And really, you can’t do a show about time travel without bumping into some famous people from the past. This week it’s […]

Orphan 55

Orphan 55 Review

After all of the surprises contained in ‘Spyfall,’ I expected that ‘Orphan 55’ might be a bit slower. Instead, ‘Orphan 55’ is non-stop action, just at the price of a coherent plot-line. It gets the ideas it wants to introduce across, but the elements never come together to form a good story. The addition of […]

Doctor Who - Spyfall

‘Doctor Who – Spyfall’ Review

I chose to wait for both episodes of ‘Doctor Who – Spyfall’ to air before reviewing them. I didn’t want to engage in the speculation that comes with a cliffhanger. Based on some of the guessing flying around the internet, I think I made the right choice. So what does the start of Jodie Whittaker’s […]

The BBC Has Added Doctor Who To Its Christmas lineup

The trailer for the upcoming series 12 of ‘Doctor Who’ was a pleasant enough surprise this past weekend (you can see the teaser for that premiere here.) Now the BBC has even more good news for fans of the show. The BBC has added ‘Doctor Who’ to its Christmas lineup! Not only that, but there […]
